The annual Prater's Mill Country Fair returns to Dalton, Ga. on Saturday, October 8 and Sunday, October 9.
Visitors can stop by and enjoy southern foods and refreshments, live entertainment, living history exhibit tours, and handmade crafts. Craft demonstrations of weaving, quilting, wood carving, blacksmithing, and more will be showcased by talented artists.
Southern food dishes like chicken and dumplings, collard greens, and corn bread will be served by the Dalton Pike Church of God.
Other fall food favorites including pit-cooked barbecue, fried apple pies, apple cider, and fresh-churned ice cream will also be served at various locations around the fair.
The fair will be sponsored by the Prater's Mill Foundation, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to education and historic preservation.
Admission is $7, and children under 12 get in free.
Dogs are allowed at the event, as long as they are kept on leashes, cleaned up after, and not left unattended. Non-service animals will not be allowed on shuttle buses.
All parking at Prater's Mill is free. Traffic control will be on hand to direct drivers on where to park. Shuttles will be available to take guests to and from select parts of the parking lot.
