CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

The top businesses in Chattanooga gathered Thursday night for the Best of the Best awards gala.

The event was hosted by the Chattanooga Times Free Press at the Chattanooga Convention Center. I

Voters chose Channel 3 for several awards Thursday sweeping the TV categories. Channel 3 anchor David Carroll was named Best TV Personality and Best Columnist/Reporter. Other awards included Best Local TV News and Best Weather.

Andrew Ankar, owner of Ankar's Hoagies, was named Best Chattanoogan, the night's highest honor. 

Some 30,000 readers of the newspaper selected the winners in the write-in ballot.
