Grundy County teen helps gather "Buddy Bears" for Sheriff's Office

A Grundy County 9th grader has collected over 260 stuffed animals for the "Buddy Bear Project," an effort to make a difference in the lives of children across the county. 

The Grundy County Sheriff's Office posted this picture to their Facebook page, calling the "Buddy Bear" program a success.

Kendale James developed the program along with the Sheriff's Office to provide officers with a stuffed animal to give to children who may be dealing with anxiety during calls where police  interaction is needed. 

Several businesses in the county participated as drop-off locations, and so far, people have donated 260 stuffed bears.
