A woman applying for an apartment in Dalton is now in federal custody.

Monday, Deane Locket, 33, went to the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office record department to have a background check run so she could apply an apartment.

She used the alias, Deane Kinard, plus gave a date of birth and social security number. The report came back showing the name Kinard as an alias.

It also showed she was wanted by the U.U. Secret Service for aggravated identity theft and device fraud charges out of Cleveland, Ohio.

Officers arrested her and she spent the night in the Whitfield County Jail before Secret Service agents picked her up on Tuesday.
