Traffic stop leads to drug trafficking arrest

DEKALB COUNTY, AL (WRCB) -

Alabama deputies making a traffic stop Tuesday got more than they bargained for in the process.

DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office deputies stopped Billy H. Seabolt, 56 of Pisgah and Hanna Daniel Pell, 21 of Fort Payne, AL at the intersection of County Road 602 and 603.

The couple consented to a search of their car, where deputies found meth, around $2,000 cash, drug paraphernalia, marijuana and a revolver.

Seabolt was charged with trafficking in any illegal drug, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, persons forbidden to possess a firearm, and unlawful possession of marijuana 2nd. 

Pell was charged with unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. 

Seabolt has been under investigation with the DeKalb County Drug and Major Crimes Task Force for some time and more charges are pending.
