HCEMS rescue a woman from Signal Mountain fall

SIGNAL MOUNTAIN, TN (WRCB) -

Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services rescued a woman on Nabbit Trail on Signal Mountain Monday.

A 39-year old woman was running on the trail when she fell off the mountain and is suffering from an ankle injury.

At 10 a.m. the woman called 911 reporting she injured her ankle, after calling a friend to help, but was unsuccessful.

Walden's Ridge Emergency Services, HCEMS and Signal Mountain Fire Department responded to the scene and set up a command post at Wilson Ave and Summerbrook Lane

At 10:30 am, crews made contact with the woman and provided medical treatment.

It took crews about an hour to get to rescue the woman, before transporting her to the hospital around 11 a.m.

She had three dogs with her on the trail; a hound ,a sheltie, and a beagle.

The woman is about a mile in on the trail.
