Hot and dry through the weekend, with big changes next week

Posted: Updated:

Good Friday!  We can handle the early fall heat knowing the cooler weather is just around the corner.  A cool front moving in next week will bring the weather much more in line with the season.

Today, however, the heat continues.  We will have mostly sunny skies with a high of 92.  I expect great weather for all the football games tonight, but you may  as skies remain clear, and temps drop through the 80s.

This weekend is a big one.  We have the Hamilton County Fair, the Iron Man, and numerous other local events.  Lows will be in the upper 60s, and highs will be in the low 90s both days of the weekend.

Monday is the day you have been waiting for.  A cool front will move in from the west, bringing a line of rain to the area in the afternoon.  Rainfall amounts will reach about .25", not enough to relieve the drought, but a nice watering for the lawn.  Monday's high will reach 89 before the rains start.

Tuesday through the rest of the week will be amazing.  Cooler air behind the front will keep temps in the low 80s in the afternoon.  Morning lows will fall to the upper 50s by the end of the week.  We will have lots of sunshine during that time as well.
