Alex Davis Wins the BFL Super Bass Tournament on Lake Chickamauga

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) - Alex Davis from Albertville AL caught 10 bass in this 2 day event weighing 28.06 pounds edging out a field of 78 pro anglers to win first place and $4,806.00 in this BFL Super tournament held out of Chester Frost Park boat ramp Saturday and Sunday September 17th and 18th.

Alex said “I moved around a lot covering water with a frog and flipping grass mats. Practice went well and I thought I had a good shot to win this event. There are some really good fisherman up here in this area and you have to fish hard and catch very bite to beat them’’.

Alex also netted another 2,000 dollars in bonus money from Ranger Boats and another 1,000 dollars, winning the Mercury Outboards Winners Bonus Award

Local Steve Barnes from Harrison TN finished 4th with 19.08 pounds good for $1,121 dollars

Jerry Nelner from Rutherfordton VA won the co-anglers division with his 2 day total of 10.09 pounds good for $2,403.

All fish caught in this BFL- FLW Division event were released back into Lake Chickamauga.
