Posted: Updated:

Kellogg is recalling about 10,000 cases of Eggo Nutri-Grain whole wheat waffles. They were possibly contaminated with Listeria bacteria.

Kellogg said in a Monday news release no illnesses have been reported in connection with the products, but Listeria monocytogenes can cause infections in young children and others with weakened immune systems, like the frail or elderly.

Check your freezer. The recalled waffles can be identified by looking for UPC code 38000 40370, dated better if before used by Nov. 21 and 22, 2017.

They were distributed in the following 25 states: Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Vermont, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
