UPDATE: Channel 3 has learned a 14-year-old girl was killed in a crash Monday night on I-75 in Whitfield County.

According to the crash report by the Georgia State Patrol, 44-year-old Lisa Sadia, from Dunwoody, Georgia, ran off the road while traveling north and hit a guardrail before she over-corrected her Volkswagen Jetta three times. Sadia was able to stop the car in the right lane near mile marker 331, in the path of a tractor-trailer.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was unable to see the car because the lights were not working and hit it from behind, ejecting the teenage passenger.

The report says the teen was not wearing a seat belt. Both Sadia and the teen were taken to Hamilton Medical Center.

The report says the girl did not survive.

The driver of the semi was not injured in the crash.

The report says Sadia was charged with failure to maintain lane.
