UPDATE: Chattanooga Police are investigating a pedestrian struck by a vehicle early Monday morning on DuPont Parkway.
Officials say reports of the accident came in around 2:30 a.m.
Officials say the driver of a large truck was heading northbound on DuPont Parkway, and struck a pedestrian who was in the center lane.
Early investigation has determined that the area where the pedestrian was struck is not well lit, and that the driver was not speeding at this time of the crash.
The pedestrian was transported to a local hospital, and is listed in critical condition.
No charges have been filed against the truck driver, at this time.
