UPDATE: There's a new "Senior Idol" in town!
Thursday night, 74-year-old George Samaduroff won this year's Senior Idol talent competition.
Samaduroff was presented his prize by Hamilton County Mayor Jim Coppinger.
The finale took place at Morning Pointe Senior Living Facility in Hixson.
Every year since 2009, the facility has hosted the competition, as contestants age 62 and older put their talents to the test to claim the title.
George was able to wow everyone with his coke bottle blowing abilities.

PREVIOUS STORY: This week, some local seniors are taking to the stage to show off their talents. Hamilton County’s Senior Idol is back for a seventh season. The competition started in 2009.
This year brings new talent, making it harder for the judges.Qualifying performers must be 62 or older. There are contestants performing everything from bagpipes to Coke bottles.
One of the judges said they look for creativity and originality. It’s a tough competition.
Frankie Parrott said, “It’s very competitive. Very competitive. Especially on the night of the finale. You’ve got those first, second and third place trophies. The first place winner also gets a hundred dollars.”
Thursday is the big night, the finale when the Senior Idol will be crowned. The public is invited to attend on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Morning Pointe of Hixson. They’re located at 5501 Old Hixson Pike.
