Good Thursday. Yesterday we flirted with hitting the record high of 98. We reached 96. I think we will reach 96 again today, and the record high is 97. You get the idea. It's HOT! Along with the heat we will be a bit humid, but not oppressively so. On the back side of now Tropical Depression Julia we will have some pretty stable air over us so I expect mostly sunny skies today with no chance for rain.
Friday we will not be as hot, but still should hit a high of 90, well above the average high of 83. I think we may get one or two afternoon showers, but the chance is low, only 20%.
Saturday actually looks pretty good compared to the rest of the forecast. Highs will be in the upper 80s, skies will be mostly sunny, and the humidity will not be too out of control.
A front moving through in Sunday will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening. Let's hope we get some good rain. We are 13 1/2" below average for the year, and after Sunday we will start another warm and dry spell that will go through the first half of next week.
