Too Young to Remember: How Kids Comprehend 9/11

What does 9/11 mean to you if you weren't around to witness it?

Last week, NBC News brought together a group of New York City area teenagers who were all either born just before, or right after the 2001 attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

For them, 9/11 exists solely in photographs and video, or through memories shared by parents and older family members.

We asked them to reflect on when they first learned about the event, and what it means to live in a "Post-9/11 America" which, to them, is simply "America."
