Most restaurants scored pretty well this week, but we have a couple that came close to failing.
In Chattanooga, Souper Salad on Gunbarrel Road scored a 71, only two points above a failing grade. Inspectors found employees slicing food for the salad bar with their bare hands, no soap or paper towels, dented cans stored with good ones and dirty floors, walls and ceilings.
In Catoosa County, Thai Garden in Fort Oglethorpe also scored a 71. The restaurant lost points for keeping chilled foods too warm, not properly labeling already opened or prepared foods, and thawing vegetables in a dish rinsing sink instead of a designated vegetable prep sink.
Several restaurants in both Hamilton County and north Georgia earned perfect scores of 100. Congratulations to:
