UTC Police arrested a man for aggravated assault after he stole from his roommate, and threatened to assault three men on UTC's campus.

It happened on Saturday at 818 University Street.

Officials say Jerome Woods threatened three men with a pair of scissors, following a confrontation.

Officials say Woods' roommate, Cameron Cryer, was victim of a burglary on Friday, and suspected that Woods was involved.

After being confronted about it, an argument ensued between Woods and Cryer.

Officials say that's when the suspect went into his room, and came outside with sharp scissors, threatening harm to Cryer, and two of his friends.

The three men then went inside the apartment, and locked themselves inside.

Officials say the suspect began beating on the door, and the men escaped from a window in the home, and called police.

Officers arrived on scene, and after a search, found Cryer's stolen property in a backpack Woods had with him.

Woods was taken into custody without incident and charged with aggravated assault.
