Alabama man arrested for shooting
Pope was arrested, and charged with first degree assault, with more charges pending the investigation.
An Alabama man is in jail after allegedly shooting another man Friday night in the Aroney community of DeKalb County.
DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputies, Crossville Police Department and Alabama State Troopers responded to a 911 call Friday and found James Harold Burns, 55 of Boaz, who was shot in the lower leg by Max William Pope, 47, aslo of Boaz.
Pope was arrested, and charged with first degree assault, with more charges pending the investigation, according to a news release.
Pope was transported to the DeKalb County Detention Center where he is awaiting bond.
