CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- Edgar Corcino hit a two-run triple in the fourth inning, leading the Chattanooga Lookouts to a 3-1 win over the Mississippi Braves on Saturday.
The triple by Corcino scored Ryan Walker and Travis Harrison to give the Lookouts a 2-0 lead.
After Chattanooga added a run in the sixth on a home run by Harrison, the Braves cut into the deficit in the ninth inning when Joey Meneses hit a solo home run.
Chattanooga starter Stephen Gonsalves (8-1) picked up the win after allowing just five hits over 5 2/3 scoreless innings. Opposing starter Patrick Weigel (0-2) took the loss in the Southern League game after allowing three runs and five hits over seven innings. Raul Fernandez recorded his fifth save of the season.
