Hixson High School's Marching Wildcats are putting together an awesome show for the season. This week, it should be about two-thirds complete. Taking a cue from just completed Rio Olympics, the performance features Latin Jazz from all over the region. Called "Carnival," the music covers rhythms and melodies from the Caribbean to South America.

Around 60 members strong, the group is coming off a a productive, but interesting band camp, thanks to the Tennessee weather. Director Matt McHenry tells us he has a great bunch of kids who he's enjoyed more than any group in a long time. That's a good thing, because he says there aren't many seniors, meaning as their quality improves, he will get to enjoy them for years to come!

You can catch the Marching Wildcats at home in Hixson and at any of their team's away games. They are also looking forward to competitions later in the season in Newnan, GA and just up the road at Bradley Central.

From the stands, they played for us the ESPN theme song. Enjoy the students from Hixson, your Friday Night Football Band of the Week!
