Good Thursday. The average high for this time of year is 89 degrees. We are going to stay about 5 degrees above that through the weekend.
Today the heat and humidity start to build. We will have a high of 91. High pressure to our east will keep a steady southerly stream of warm, moist air flowing into the Tennessee Valley. The problem is that same high will block any weather systems from bringing us any much needed rain.
We will warm to 94 Friday afternoon, but the heat index will be close to 100.
Saturday and Sunday will pretty much be the same. High temps will be around 93 or 94, and it will be incredibly muggy both days. Rain chances stay very low.
Next week offers more of the same. Temps will be in the low to mid 90s and rain chances will hover around 20%.
