UPDATE:  Michael Wilson appeared in a Bradley County courtroom Monday morning to face a judge and charges of aggravated kidnapping.

Wilson's bond was set for $500,000 and his hearing has been scheduled for September 8.

He was extradited from Colorado after he was arrested for taking his 2-year-old daughter, Skyla, from her Bradley County home earlier in August.

Wilson is accused of kidnapping his daughter on August 4, after he picked up the child from her grandmother's house to celebrate their birthdays. He was supposed to return Skyla home on Sunday evening, but never showed up.

Skyla and her non-custodial father were found in Grand Junction, Colorado where he was arrested for aggravated kidnapping.

One of the deputies who helped bring Wilson back from Colorado said it was a 25-hour trip. He said Wilson was quiet for most of the ride.

As for the cost of the trip, Sheriff Eric Watson told Channel 3 Wilson will be responsible for paying for it. Watson said Wilson is expected to be in court on Monday.
