Good Friday! If you have those big plans outdoors this weekend, make sure the indoor plan B is ready to go.
A stationary front to our south will keep things a bit unstable around the Tennessee Valley. I think we can expect some scattered showers and storms through the late morning and afternoon hours. Some of the heavier rain will be in north Georgia, but some spotty storms could pop up anywhere today.
The clouds and potential for rain will keep highs in the mid to upper 80s today.
Tonight, if you are heading to a football game, take an umbrella. The rain chance will be diminishing through the evening, but a pop up shower or storm will be possible especially at the start of the games.
To start the weekend, a front approaching from the west will bring widespread showers and storms Saturday. We will see a few showers in the morning with more widespread rain moving in during the afternoon and evening hours. Saturday's high will reach 86.
I expect some of the showers and storms to linger into Sunday morning, then the front will pass through and by Sunday afternoon we will see mostly sunny skies, lower humidity, and highs in the mid to upper 80s.
That great weather will last into next week. Monday will be spectacular. we will start with a low of 66, and climb to a mostly sunny 88 in the afternoon. The humidity will be much lower so the comfort level will be very favorable for being outdoors. Tuesday will be much the same with the high reaching 90.
Mid week I think we may see a few showers returning as we also return to the low 90s.
