Man arrested for meth during eviction
When they arrived, deputies found the man with meth and a firearm.
DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputies ended up arrested an Alabama man for possession of meth while they were attempting to serve an eviction notice.
On Wednesday, deputies went to the home in Crossville to serve the eviction notice to 38-year-old William Thomas Crane Jr.
When they arrived, deputies found Crane with meth and a firearm. He also had an outstanding warrant for his arrest for property theft.
Crane was arrested for the warrant charge, as well as being charged with trafficking in any illegal drug, unlawful possession of controlled Substance and carrying brass knuckles.
DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris says this an ongoing investigation with pending charges of felon in possession of a Firearm and with more charges possible.
