Police on rescue mission catch felon from Michigan

Varnell, GA (WRCB) -

Police in Varnell searched 150 acres of woods for seven hours on what was originally thought to be a rescue mission.

Instead, it turned out to be an arrest. On the police department's Facebook page, the described the captive as a "drugged out felon out of Michigan."

Assisting in the search were officers from the Cohutta Police Department, Whitfield County Firefighters, 911 Command Center, Volunteers from CERT and retired Trooper Bramlett.
