UPDATE: Officials report that 5-month-old Christopher Pitts, Jr. has been found safe.
East Point Police say the child was initially left in a vehicle outside while the father briefly went inside a gas station.
The vehicle was carjacked, which resulted in the Amber Alert.
The child was found at a Kroger store in Southwest Atlanta shortly after midnight on Wednesday.

Officials say Pitts was last seen on Tuesday, August 9th in East Point, Ga.
A Levi's Call has been issued for the child by the East Point Police Department.
Pitts is described as a black male, with brown eyes, and a black mohawk.
He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt displaying the words "Daddy's Little Helper".
Officials are asking residents to be on the lookout for a dark blue 2012 Chevrolet Impala, with Georgia license plate number RBM-9207.
Officials say the child was last seen traveling towards the Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
