Good Tuesday. We are looking at a pretty good chance for scattered showers and thunderstorms to help water the lawn today. I don't expect any severe weather in terms of hail or tornadoes, but lightning, heavy rain, and gusty winds are all things to look out for today. Our high will reach a muggy 92. The storms will become a little more widespread as we head through the afternoon.
The front bringing us the rain will move south Wednesday. That will lower our rain chance to less than a 20% chance Wednesday as the high climbs to a muggy 94.
Low pressure off the east coast may provide enough instability when combined with the daytime heating to produce a few stray showers Thursday and Friday. The main feature of late week, however, will be the heat. Highs will climb to 97 Friday with the heat index between 100 and 105. The weekend looks the same with highs in the mid-90s and a few showers both days.
