Good Monday. We will see a few more chances for rain over the next few days. It would be nice. Chattanooga rainfall is currently just under 11" below average for the year so far.
Today will mainly be just hot and muggy with a high of 93, and the heat index reaching about 100. I won't rule out a passing storm or two this afternoon, but it is more likely during the evening hours. Scattered showers and storms are likely Tuesday afternoon also as the high reaches 92.
I think we will dry out a bit Wednesday through Friday as the rain chance doesn't exceed 20%. The second half of the week will remain muggy, though, with highs in the mid-90s.
More showers and storms (along with heat and humidity) are in the forecast for this weekend.
