Red Bank police are searching for a man they say was involved in a shooting on U.S. Hwy 27 at Morrison Springs Road on Saturday around 9:00 p.m. A man told police he picked up another man in the Soddy Daisy area and agreed to give him a ride to Morrison Springs Road.

When the suspect got out of the car on Highway 27 at Morrison Springs Road, officers say he pointed a pistol at the man and demanded his money. They fought over the gun and the victim was shot once before the suspect jumped out of the car and ran away into the wooded area along the exit ramp, according to Red Bank police.

The man police are looking for is white, around 30 years old, 5'10 in height, weighs around 240 pounds, and was last seen wearing overalls. The victim was treated at a local hospital and he is expected to be okay.
