UPDATE: All lanes have been reopened after the Saturday morning crash, according to Tennessee Department of Transportation. 

PREVIOUS STORY: Two Saturday morning accidents on I-24 E headed into Chattanooga have the interstate shutdown. 

Lt. John Harmon with Tennessee Highway Patrol says there is an accident in Georgia that has shutdown the interstate. TDOT and THP are rerouting traffic. The second crash occurred at mile marker 159 that involves six vehicles and has injuries. 

According to TDOT the accident should be clear by 5 p.m. central time. 

You should plan for alternate routes and delays when traveling in this area.
