Grundy churches burglarized, sound equipment stolen

Posted: Updated:

The Grundy County Sheriff's Office is investigating the second church burglary in the county within a week.

Deputies say Coalmont Methodist Church was burglarized overnight on Tuesday.

The thieves stole sound equipment from inside the building.

Authorities say the same type of equipment was stolen from Chestnut Springs Congregational Methodist Church last week.

That church, better known as Orange Hill, shares a space with the Mount Oak Primitive Baptist Church.

If you have any information on these burglaries, contact the Grundy County Sheriff's Office at 931-692-3466.
