Good Thursday. For your morning commute, you may get a stray shower or two. A front working its way slowly toward the area will increase our rain chances quite a bit this afternoon and evening. Temperatures will be dramatically cooler with highs in the upper 80s. Tonight we may still see a few lingering showers or storms. One or two may even linger into the overnight.
Friday we will have more showers and storms, mainly across north Georgia. Still, one or two isolated showers or storms could pop up anywhere throughout the day. Friday's high will reach 87. Rainfall amounts through Friday night will range from .75" across the Tennessee Valley to 2"+ across north Georgia. With the 2016 rainfall deficit now at 11.10" below average, every bit helps.
Expect even more scattered showers and storms over the weekend with highs back in the mid-90s.
