All roads are open as Chattanooga police continue their search for a man who they say robbed a bank and dropped a suspicious package as he fled on foot.

It happened at Southeast Federal Credit Union on National Avenue around 2:30pm, closing all roads in between Bailey and McCallie Avenues.

Police say the suspect walked in, demanded money and ran away with the cash, leaving behind a suspicious package.

The suspect reportedly told employees that a bomb was inside the package.

Chattanooga police and FBI spent hours searching the area for the suspect.

Channel 3 reporter Sara Sidery was on the scene and reported hearing a loud blast near the bank.

Police later confirmed the blast was a result of the Bomb Squad successfully detonating the suspicious package.

No one was injured in today's incident or blast.

Police continue searching for the man responsible but have not released any details about him.
