A 15-year old teen was rescued at the foot of Mowbray Mountain at Pocket Wilderness after injuring his ankle.

At 1:20 p.m., a 911 call was made reporting a teen had injured his ankle from cliff jumping at the Blue Hole at the Pocket Wilderness Trails. Tennessee State Parks and Mowbray VFD responded to the scene and  requested mutual aid due to hot and humid temperatures.

Around 2:30, rescue personnel were packaging the injured patient and started carrying him about two miles out of the woods. At 3:30 p.m, the injured teen was out of the woods and was transported to Children's Hospital at Erlanger via EMS.

This is the second rescue at Pocket Wilderness in a week.
