UPDATE: Alcohol may be to blame in a wrong way crash that sent three people to the hospital Thursday morning.
Chattanooga Police were called to 100 Highway 153 shortly after 2 a.m. on reports of a crash involving multiple vehicles.
According to arrest reports, the driver of a black Jeep Patriot entered Highway 153 from East Brainerd Rd. traveling the wrong way. The Jeep struck a white Dodge Ram head on and resulted in a secondary crash with a motorcycle.
The driver of the Dodge Ram, the motorcycle and a passenger riding in the Jeep were all taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Police charged the driver of the Jeep, 25 year-old Bradford Bailey, with driving under the influence following a failed field sobriety test. He is also facing charges of reckless endangerment, driving the wrong direction, failure to use due care and driving without a proper driver’s license.
Bailey is being held at the Hamilton County Jail on a $9,000 bond. He’s due in court on the charges on July 28.

It happened around 2:00 a.m. Thursday morning.
Officials say two cars and a motorcycle were involved in the crash.
The entrance ramp is temporarily closed.
Three people were transported to a local hospital, but there is no word yet on their condition at this time.
