Lafayette Police were called to a home Tuesday morning after a 3-year-old boy was bitten by a dog.
According to police, the Great Dane mix bit the boy in the face. The child was taken to Children’s Hospital in Chattanooga for treatment.
The dog was confiscated and taken to a local animal shelter for quarantine while the Lafayette Police Department investigates the circumstances of the injury.
Investigators tell Channel 3 the child was with a babysitter when the injury happened.
