Good Wednesday. We can expect more scattered showers and storms on and off all day today. The clouds and rain will keep our high at 89 degrees this afternoon. We won't see anything that will end the drought, but I would expect about 1/4"-1/2" pretty widespread. That will at least help out the tomato plants for a day or so.
Thursday the chance for any rain is slight. We will see the heat return with a high of 95. We will remain dry Friday, as temps soar to about 97 Friday afternoon.
For the weekend, a front will move in and settle over the Tennessee Valley. That will allow for more clouds and a few showers and storms both Saturday and Sunday. It will be in the low to mid-90s both days.
A low-pressure area will move through Monday making rain likely to start next week.
