Good Tuesday. With drought conditions ranging from moderate to extreme across the Tennessee Valley, rain is at a premium. We are now just above 9" below our average rainfall this far into the year.
Fortunately, we are looking at a little relief today. Skies will be cloudy, and we will see some sporadic pop up showers and storms on and off through the day. That will keep our high MUCH lower than yesterday's high of 99. We will only manage 88 today, but the air will still feel humid and sticky. Rainfall amounts today will range from .25" to more than an inch in isolated areas.
A few isolated showers or storms may linger into tonight as the low drops to 72.
We will see some isolated showers and storms again Wednesday as the high rebounds back to 90.
The heat and humidity ratchet back up to the mid to upper 90s Thursday and Friday with only a slight rain chance each day.
For the weekend we will level off in the mid-90s with a few showers and storms each afternoon.
