Tennessee Highway Patrol investigators believe drugs and alcohol were possible factors in a deadly crash in Bradley County Thursday night.

It happened on No Pone Road at Georgetown Road shortly before 10:30 p.m.

The incident report says 23-year-old Colton Ward ran a stop sign on Van Davis Road at No Pone Road and crossed the center line, hitting a pickup truck head-on.

The driver of the pickup truck, 57-year-old Ottis Goode was pronounced dead on the scene. Wayne Crowder, 54, who was riding with Goode, was flown by LifeForce to a hospital. 

Ward was not injured.

Investigators say drugs and alcohol were possibly used by both drivers.

Charges have been filed.
