Chattanooga firefighters remove tree limb from house

CHATTANOOGA, TN (WRCB) -

A large tree limb fell onto a home on Usher Drive in St. Elmo Thursday.

No injuries were reported, but Chattanooga firefighters responded and helped the homeowner clean up the mess and place a protective tarp on the roof.

The tree punched a 4-inch hole in the roof, and the branches protruded about two feet into the home's bedroom.

Wiring in the home may have been damaged, so the residents will stay elsewhere until repairs can be made.

In addition to helping the homeowner clean up and protect the house, the firefighters also gave the young children stuffed animals to help calm the children.
