Fire destroyed a vacant home in Lookout Valley early Wednesday morning.

The fire at 3602 Kelly’s Ferry Road injured no one but caused $67,000 worth of damage.

The Chattanooga Fire Department received a report of the fire at 4:37 a.m. and responded with five fire companies.

Despite getting the fire under control in 20 minutes, the house was considered a total loss, according to Battalion Chief Chris Willmore.

An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire.
