JACKSON COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A six-month joint investigation by the Jackson County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit and the Madison County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit resulted in an arrest Thursday. 

A traffic stop resulted in the arrest of Michael Shane Rorex, 45 of Skyline Alabama. 

According to investigators, the traffic stop resulted in the seizure of methamphetamine, marijuana, controlled pills, a firearm and cash.

Rorex was arrested, after which, a search warrant was executed at his residence in Skyline. 

During the search of his home. investigators located and seized approximately 8.5 ounces of methamphetamine ice and 3 ounces of Marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and several additional firearms. 

The investigators also seized 2003 H2 Hummer and a 2007 Mercedes C230 along with $3,487 in cash.

Rorex was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession with the intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of marijuana first degree, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance, and certain person prohibited from possessing a firearm

He is now in the Jackson County Jail, and his bond has not been set.
