Good Friday!  We are officially starting the day under severe drought conditions with our rainfall for the year 7.54" below average.  We are getting a good dose of rain this morning, however, that will at least temporarily give us some relief.  With that said, it will make for a tricky commute this morning so use caution on the roadways.

The rain will taper off through the morning, giving way to dangerous heat and humidity this afternoon.  We will see a high of 97 with a heat index between 100 and 105.  If you have to be out between 3pm and 6pm drink lots of water and take frequent breaks.  Also check on the elderly neighbors and make sure they are comfortable.

This weekend we will stay hot and muggy Saturday with a high of 97, then Sunday will give us more showers and storms with a high of 95.  Some of that rain will linger into Monday.  Unfortunately, so will the heat and humidity.  All next week temps will remain in the mid-90s.
