Good Wednesday. Heat and humidity will be staples in our forecast for quite a while. Today we will get up to 95. One way we measure the comfort level of the air is with the dew point. When it was really nice over the weekend we had relatively dry air with dew points in the low 50s. Today, dew points will be around 70 which means much more moisture in the air. Combine that with a 95 degree high, and we will have oppressive air with a heat index near 100. We will see a few scattered storms this afternoon into this evening.
Thursday we will start with a warm low of 74. We will once again be hot and humid, but I think we will be rain free Thursday. Look for partly cloudy skies with the high again reaching 95.
Friday will be just about the same, though we will put the chance for a few showers and storms back in for the afternoon hours.
This weekend we will see no change. Lows will be in the mid-70s, highs in the mid-90s, and the heat index will be around 100 degrees. Both Saturday and Sunday we will have isolated afternoon storms popping up.
