Spectacular Father's Day and start to summer.

Posted: Updated:

Happy Father's Day!  What a great day it will be.  We will be warm with a high of 89.  The humidity will be low, however, so we will feel comfortable all day long.  We may have a few clouds in the afternoon, but no rain.  We could use it.  While lawns continue to brown, the rainfall shortage for the year is 6.84" below average.

Monday begins the season of summer, and it looks to be a warm start.  Monday will not be bad.  The high will reach 90, and the humidity will still be fairly low.  Tuesday and Wednesday the temps will climb a few degrees, and the humidity will climb a few ticks as well.  Highs will be in the low 90s both days.  We will stay rain free.

Wednesday a front will sag down from the north.  It will likely bring a few scattered showers and storms late in the day as the high climbs to 93.

Thursday we will just be hot and a little muggy as the high eeks up to 95.

Friday through the weekend we will continue to maintain highs about 5 degrees above average in the mid 90s with a slight chance for a storm or two each day.

Good Thursday.  We have another bitterly cold start today with temps in the low to mid 10s this morning.  Fortunately, our winds are fairly calm this morning so wind chill won't be as much of an issue heading out.

The roads will be very slick including interstates and main city roads Tuesday night because of these cold temperatures. So travel should be discouraged.
