Good Friday! After a ridiculously warm and muggy morning, we should start to see our weather improving dramatically as we race into the weekend. Temps this morning in Chattanooga did not dip below 80.
We have a cold front moving south through the Tennessee Valley this morning. It may bring a stray shower o two, but the rain chance is only 20%. The main impact of the front will be much drier air moving in this afternoon and evening. We will still manage a high of 92 this afternoon, but the lower humidity will make it tolerable as you wrap up your week.
Saturday and Sunday will be stellar. The humidity will continue to drop, and the air temperatures will be a little lower as well. Both days of the weekend will start in the mid to upper 60s and the highs will reach the mid to upper 80s both days. We will also have plenty of clear, blue sky to enjoy.
Next week the heat and humidity will creep back up a bit getting back into the low 90s. It looks like we will stay rain free through at least Tuesday. A front may bring us some much-needed rainfall Wednesday. It would be nice. The rainfall deficit for the year is about 6 1/2" below average.
