Good Monday. The ridiculous heat and humidity from Sunday will be with us to start the week. We reached 97 for a high yesterday. Today will climb to 96 with the heat index ranging from 99-102 degrees between 3pm and 6pm. We may see one or two pop-up storms later today, so keep that in mind also. Don't forget, the Bessie Smith Strut is happening this evening. Temps will still be in the low to mid 90s as the bands start at about 5pm.
Tuesday will not be AS hot and humid, though we will still manage to reach 90. I would once again be ready for a few afternoon showers and storms. Wednesday will be much the same. Thursday we will get back to 97 for a high.
Friday into the weekend will actually be fairly nice. We will hang out around 90 degrees, but the humidity will be much lower meaning the air most of the day will be much more comfortable.
