A hiker was rescued at Middle Creek Falls after first responders said she slipped on some rocks, hurt her leg, and wasn't able to walk out of the woods.

Amy Maxwell, a spokeswoman for Hamilton County Emergency Services, said a 9-1-1 call was made at 6:00 pm on Saturday after a 25-year-old woman was hiking at Middle Creek Falls.

Walden's Ridge Emergency Services, Lone Oak Volunteer Fire Department, and Dallas Bay Volunteer Fire Department helped with the rescue. They found the woman about a 1/2 mile into the woods and carried her out to be taken to Erlanger Medical Center.
