A woman is facing charges of child neglect after officers say she was driving under the influence while a 7-month-old was in the backseat.
On June 9th officers noticed a Ford SUV with two flat tires in the 2200 block of Dayton Blvd.
Officers approached the car and spoke with Sara Sweeney, who was in the driver's seat. Sweeney told police she got scared when her phone rang and that's when she hit the curb causing the flat tires.
According to court documents, while talking to the driver, officer's smelled "a strong odor of alcohol." Police also noticed Sweeney's mother and a 7-month-old boy in the backseat.
The driver's son is in the custody of Sweeney father. She is facing charges of DUI and child neglect.
Sweeney is set to be in court July 25th.

Crews are currently working to clear the 2100 block of Cummings Highway.
Police spokeswoman Evie West tells Channel 3, the child was left in the van for about 20 minutes while the temperature was about 93 degrees outside.
