Cable giant Comcast joins local provider EPB with their new 10-gigabit internet connectivity.

The company says the multi-million dollar investment will provide fastest speeds in Tennessee to businesses, government agencies, schools and hospitals. The fiber optic network is across the greater Chattanooga area, and connects to their national network spanning 140,000 miles and features a 100 Gbps backbone, according to a news release.

“Like Chattanooga, Comcast continues to make important technology investments that keep the community ahead of tomorrow’s innovations,” said Cleve Lewis, Vice President for Comcast Business. “This effort will accelerate local economic growth and business opportunities for existing organizations and help attract new industries.”
