Good Monday. We have some dense fog, particularly in the mountains this morning. Temps are in the 60s. The scattered showers we have been enjoying for the past few days will fade away this week. Today we are looking at only a slight chance for a stray shower east of Chattanooga. The rain chance is only 20%. Today's high will reach 88.
Tuesday a front will move through and clear skies out. It will still be warm with a high of 88, and skies will be mostly sunny. We will get a bit breezy in the afternoon with winds from the north at 10-20 mph.
Behind the front, we will be slightly cooler and drier Wednesday. Lows will be in the upper 50s and highs in the low to mid 80s (84 in Chattanooga). Enjoy Wednesday because the heat and humidity will be returning with a vengeance.
Thursday and Friday temps will slowly climb back into the upper 80s and low 90s. The humidity will keep coming back in as well.
This weekend marks the beginning of Riverbend and the beginning of a spell of hot, muggy weather. We will have sunshine, but temps will rocket to the mid 90s with heat index values close to 100 both Saturday and Sunday.
